Syria, the Holy Land, Iraq, part of Iran, the northern part of Saudi Arabia, southern Turkey and Armenia are featured on this map. In the lower right is the moth of the Euphrates river in the Persian Gulf. In the lower left is the northern part of the Red Sea. Cyprus is to the West of Syria with its ancient names.Verso: Text in Italian and distances between the major points on this map.

The focus of this map in a very detailed way is Irak. Map shows the runs of the two famed rivers to Kuwait. Map shows also the adjacent lands of Anatolia, Syria, Iran It gives names of provinces and tribes like Alghezira, Kurdistan, Chuzestan, Hakkari, Aderbigian, Diarmodzar, Diar Rabiaa, At the top center of the map is Moush-Moxocene. In the lower right corner is athe tip of the Persian Gulf. On the left is a small part of the Mediterranean Sea. Karak and Petra are in the lower left. Palmyra is directly above the title. Diabekir and many others. Historically a very interesting map.

According to the Old Testatement Noah had three sons: Japhet, Cham and Sem

According to Flavius Josephus these three sons moved to different areas after the deluge (ca. 100 A.D.) This maps shows the areas to which people moved. And the map states: Colonie des Enfans de Japhet (yellow coloring), Colonie des Enfans de Cham (blue coloring) and Colonie des Enfans de Sem (reed coloring).

Not only is all of modern Syria shown, but also Cyprus, the Holy

symbols of Christianity and the figure to the tight holds the Bible.

Near the bottom os the map is the Lac Asphalites (Dead Sea) where asphalt (bitumen) was plentiful in earlier times. In the upper left part of the map are the Taurus Mtns. In the upper right is a small bit of Armenia. Somewhat right of center is Palmyra. Part of Cyprus is shown on the left side.

Map has a horizontal fold. In the left margin are 4 small worm holes.
Wide margins. Map is clean. Very minor creases in upper margin.
